At 62, I am in the golden years of my working life. I aim to work past retirement in 3 years’ time, but am thinking about what my contribution will be in these latter years.
I am convinced that embracing the virtue of kindness will not weaken, but rather strengthen the possibility of making a lasting impact.
This blog is primarily aimed at those in business and those on the entrepreneurial journey. Is there a place for kindness in business? Isn’t kindness a display of weakness?
On the contrary, Kindness is not weak.
Kindness is not wimpy.
Kindness does not mean that you are not a player in the business world.
Kindness is strong, powerful, and confident. You can be kind and be a ruthless businessperson. You can be focused on what you want to accomplish with your business strategy and still be kind to other people. You can be hard-hitting and direct and still be kind in the way that you show up and treat other people.
Nice guys finish last? Not True! Kindness has a place in your business strategy. (More of that next week!)
